Death's Scythe

The Scythe

The Scythe is Death's main weapon and can be transformed into 3 other forms by using Prismium in the Control Room. It always has four animation attacks and a charge attack which does a base of 50 damage.

The Scythe - "Anywhere Death goes, the Scythe follows. The two are inseparable. It is the physical incarnation of Death's supreme power, and Death alone can wield it. This legendary weapon can cut through time, space, and the elements. Legend has it, this scythe gives off the most awful noxious gases, can summon lightning, and even make a nice cup of black coffee from Kopi Luwak beans, all at a snap of skeletal fingers."

Diss Scythe - "Death has never really shown any interest in the various mythological folklore from the world's surface. For one thing, he's far too busy with work to have any free time to dedicate to such musings. For another, he's not really into theological discussions. This elegant blade wasn't named with the intention of trying to fit in with any particular community. That's not how things are done here."

Nevertheless, there are some little hints as to Death, Inc.'s CEO's taste in movies... and Twinsie is one of them."

Sickles - "Curved and sharpened by combat, the Sickles are Death's signature weapons. In fact, neither Jacob nor Death forged them. These ordinary-looking tools were found at the bottom of a petrified tar pit, deep in a misty forest in the mortal world. The strangest thing about that place is that despite the heavy fog blanketing the trees and no matter the season, it's always nice and warm there."

Death's Cloak

The Cloak

"Since the beginning (and, for some timelines, the end), Death has worn a black-hooded robe, also known as the Mantle in some parts of the world. But as the saying goes, 'the Clothes do not maketh the man, since most men don't go around with scythes harvesting others' souls.'

The Cloak has the ability to turn into just about anything — although it definitely has a preference for destructive weapons — and becoming invisible."

Cloak Weapons

Death's Cloak will attack for you. All Cloak attacks are represented with the color purple. While they don't use Mana, they all have cooldowns. Behammorth is the first Cloak weapon the player can use, as it is obtained from the Tutorial.

Behammorth - "We all have bad days at work, and Death particularly hates when people take him for an idiot. Edburt Behammer, for example, was one of the mail department's best managers, but he had the annoying tendency to push the envelope a bit too far. If a colleague was talking too loudly, rather than simply asking them to quiet down a bit, he'd jump straight to headbutting them. He was big into body language."

But just one look at his magnificent collection of trophies will tell you all you need to know about his interest in history's most noteworthy characters and events. Medieval times were a non-stop procession of alliances and epic sagas, and Death took rare delight in the idea of welcoming Eleanor of Aquitaine to the land of the dearly departed."

They are so out of the ordinary that even the oddest employees begin to wonder if they're in their right minds working there. It might seem like a metamorphosis somewhat inspired by the Cloak, but this magic entity reflects all the ideas and passions of the person who uses it. Death's Pitbook

Pitbook

"Pitbook — The Company's Codex, Its Heart and Soul

The Codex has gone by many names: The Book of Doors, The Book of the Void, The Tale of the Final Passage. It's not a particularly serious book, which is why it's not surprising to see the following on its inside cover: 'The Top 100 Stupidest Deaths' or 'Anyone Who Reads This Will Die Soon... No, Seriously.'"

Spells

Death's Pitbook will launch various attacks. All spells are represented by the color green and will use Mana. While none have cooldowns, some do have limits to how many the player can use at once.

Fire Arrow - "During his studies at the old Cronell University, where undead entities learn to bend space and time to their own will, Death picked up his first Pitbook, in which he enters all his arcane creations. The first of these concepts became the Fire Arrow spell. This spell really turns up the heat on the battlefield."

The sorcerer scratches themself and releases the dark power flowing through their entrails that sorcerers refer to as the shadow. Very sporadically at Death, Inc., certified inspectors from the Dreadsury, colleagues of Mr. O'Shah, manage to show up at the 'worst possible moment,' according to Gordon Grimes. When it came to sorcery, Death always earned the jury's favor, leaving Saturday in second place for eternity. But when it came to their social lives, the latter was far more adept. Makeshift Rockets - "Nobody at Death, Inc. can say with any certainty what Death's hobbies are, especially since the boss has been suffering from persistent burnout. The things that make Death happy are mostly documented (or lost) in the archives and are rarely written here. However, Orville remembers having been helped by him for a science project, when he was on his third-year internship at Death, Inc."

Piercing Ray - "This spell shoots out an esoteric prism from nowhere, then, when the dark energy is concentrated at its a center, a rain of piercing colors falls down onto the magician's enemies. This is one of Death's masterpieces, which earned him public recognition two years in a row in Close to the Bone, the Great Beyond's favorite celeb mag."

Spiteful Chomper - "You're no doubt already familiar with the claws and talons belonging to Charlie, the shadowy creature captured by Death, but have you ever seen any of his many mouths? With this spell, you can summon one of the creature's heads, with a mouth filled with teeth so fearsome they can bite through anything. And these adorable mouths love to chow down on uncooperative minions."

Starry Halo - "Death has the power to move through time and space at will. Obviously, for administrative reasons, Death, Inc. does follow a strict timeline, which is consistent with that on the surface. This helps keep employees and minions on an even keel. When it suits him, though, Death travels to the future to bring back the latest ingenious new developments."

Poisoned Gift - "Death finds the idea of poisoning rather quaint. It's powerful enough to be effective, but also quite sneaky. It can take a while to kick in, though. So, he had to find a killer compromise to make it work for him."

Star Raving Mad - "Just like its counterpart in the 'star' group, Star Raving Mad was created during antiquity, when Death was still out in the field reaping mortal souls the old-fashioned way. Hidden behind his Cloak, that had turned brown from the surrounding sand, Death attended a play on the perils of Theseus at an amphitheater incognito. The stagehands who were operating the deus ex machina almost killed the masked actress playing Ariadne by dropping an enormous fake sun made of clay on her."

Boomerang-Hex - "Launching magic to attack one's opponent is well within the grasp of even the most novice sorcerer. After finishing his studies at old Cronell, Death impressed the jury at his defense by 'spinning' pure Mana essence into a crescent shape, which meant the spell flew out in front of him... before returning to its destination! First-rate esoteric prowess!"

Shockwave - "This curse is mere child's play. The sorcerer focuses all their mental abilities and then releases their spiritual energy in a single wave. The burst launches an energy wave the sweeps out in a large circle around the sorcerer. Death proved to be particularly good at this one. They do so hotheaded people tend to be a bit quicker at mastering this particular skill."

Explosion - "This spell's entry is covered in post-it notes, staples, and bookmarks of various colors. These aren't for decoration. It's better to avoid touching the Pitbook unless you have permission to do so. For one, the adorable book might take a chunk out of you. And, for another, there's a high chance you'll unwittingly cause an Explosion."
